Frederick Post - August 28, 1967
Thomas H. Carter, 86, husband of Maude Wilt Carter, died at his residence in Brunswick on Sunday. He was born in Montgomery County, the son of the late Joseph and Virginia Carter.
Surviving his wife, Mrs. Maude Wilt Carter, three sons, Charles Carter, Brunswick; Stanley Carter, John Carter, Baltimore; four daughters, Mrs. Theodore Bieger, Mt. Airy; Mrs. James Mulkern, Baltimore; Mrs. William A. Bruchey, Mrs. Richard A. Smith of Frederick, five brothers, Samuel, Lawrence, Hyattsville; Charles, Baltimore; James and Lester, Frederick; two sisters, Mrs. Mae Simmons, Frederick, and Mrs. Lula McDonald, of Damascus.
Mr. Carter retired from the B&O Railroad in 1947 as an engineer. He was a member of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers.
Friends may call at the Etchison Funeral Home, 106 East Church Street on Monday and Tuesday evening from 7 to 9. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday morning at 10:30. The Rev. Robert F. Woodward, pastor of the First Baptist Church, will officiate.
