Lester Franklin Carter, who resided at 160 B&O Avenue, died at the Frederick Memorial Hospital Tuesday morning. Born in Montgomery County on August 12, 1907, he was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph E. Carter.
Surviving are the following children; Mrs. Mary A. Machado, Chandler, Ariz.; Lester G. Carter, Frederick; Mrs. June A. Stocks, Lonoki, Ark.; John R. Carter, Frederick; William Franklin Carter, Leesburg, Va.; Miss Shirley Louise Carter, Leesburg, Va.; four brothers, Joseph Lawrence Carter, Silver Spring; Samuel L. Carter, Oxon Hill; Charles A. Carter, Baltimore; James W. Carter, Frederick; two sisters, Mrs. Mamie B. Summers, Frederick; Mrs. Lula McDonough, Damascus, 24 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the M.R. Etchison and Son Funeral Home, 106 East Church St., Wednesday and Thursday. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home Friday at 2 p.m. The Rev. Dale C. Fake, pastor of the Peoples Baptist Church will officiate. Interment will be in Monocacy Cemetery, Beallsville.

Funeral services for Mr. Lester Franklin Carter, 160 B & O Avenue, who died at Frederick Memorial Hospital Tuesday, were held from the M. E. Etchison & Son Funeral Home, 106 East Church Street, Friday at 2 p.m.
The Rev. Dale C. Fake, pastor of the Peoples Baptist Church officiated.
Pallbearers were Robert Reed, Russell I. Morgan Sr., Paul Riggs, Way Morgan, Russell I Morgan Jr., and Gene Romsburg. Interment was in the Monocacy Cemetery, Beallsville.
