Patricia J. "Pat" Brant Ward, 77, St. Joseph, Missouri passed from this life on Tuesday, February 8, 2011 at Heartland Hospital, St. Joseph. She was born on April 7, 1933 in Kodiak, Missouri to Jacob and Abbey (Lamprey) Carson. Pat was a graduate of Savannah High School. She was a Christian. Pat married William Brant on June 21, 1954 in Hiawatha, Kansas, and he preceded her in death. Her parents, Jacob Carson and Abby Carson Dick, and a grandson, David Patterson also preceded her in death. Pat was a waitress at the former Robidoux Hotel, Snow White Restaurant and Stan's Golden Grill. Survivors: daughters and sons-in-law, William Brant, Mark Brant, Kevin Brant, Robert and Pam Brant, Chris and Tina Brant, all of St. Joseph; daughters, Becky Snyder and Bev Jacobs, of St. Joseph, Tracy Cogdill and husband, Bill, Freemont, NE; a brother, Robert Carson, Olathe, KS, a sister, Shirley Barrons, Topeka, KS; 24 grandchildren, 38 great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Celebration of Life: 11 AM Friday, February 11, 2011 at Gladden-Stamey Funeral Home, St. Joseph. Interment will be in Savannah, Missouri Cemetery.
