Jimmy D. Hughes, 49, a mechanic, passed away Tuesday, April 9, 2002 in Kennedale.
Funeral: 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Shannon Rose Hill Funeral Chapel. Burial: Shannon Rose Hill Memorial Park. Visitation: None.

Mr. Hughes was a former associate of Delta Automatic Transmission. He served in the U.S. Navy aboard the Puget Sound during the Vietnam era.

He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Ray J. Baber in 2001.

Survivors: Wife, Candy Hughes of Arlington; son, David Dewayne Hughes of Fort Worth; daughters, Tracy Lynn Hughes of Fort Worth, Courtney Renee Hughes of Arlington; mother, Elna Baber of Whitney; father and stepmother, Walter Hughes Jr. and Bethany of Fort Worth; sister, Marla Turner of Whitney; brother, Chris Hughes of Fort Worth; and five grandchildren.
