Death Notice
Frederick Post - December 18, 1928

Robert Elkins, 73 years old, was found unconscious near the barn of his home near Poolesville yesterday morning. He had been attacked by a cow and gored in the groin. He died before a physician, Dr. E. W. White, reached the scene, from loss of blood or shock.

Elkins had lived in the Poolesville section 21 or 22 years, having moved there from Virginia.

His widow, Mrs. Catherine Elkins; two sons, James and Joseph, and three daughters, Misses Anna [Texanna], Helen [Flora] and Ada, all of the home place, survive.
