Coeur d ‘Alene Marburger

Coeur d ‘Alene Marburger, 82, passed away on Sunday, October 1, 2006 surrounded by her loving family after a prolonged illness. Mrs. Marburger was born January 20, 1924 in Bulloch County, second youngest of ten children to the late Erastus Allen and Eva Purvis Denmark. After her fathers death she moved to Savannah where she lived until her marriage to the late Robert L. Marburger in 1946. They relocated to his home in Reading, Pennsylvania where they remained until 1957 when they returned to Savannah.

Mrs. Marburger was a member of Windsor Forest Baptist Church for over four decades. As a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, she devoted her life to serving and blessing others, sharing with them the faith she possessed in Jesus Christ.

She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Michael D. Marburger and Marilyn A. Tucker of Savannah; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Nancy M. and Michael L. Meadows of Amelia Island, FL, Debbie M. Gran of Richmond Hill and Cindy M. and Walter Wayne Norton of Danielsville, GA; one grandson and his wife, Christopher D. and Stasia L. Marburger; three granddaughters, Amanda S. Norton and Allison M. Gran and Ashley N. Gran; one great granddaughter, Alyssa B. Marburger and one sister Edith Smith of Ellabell, GA.

Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 3, 2006 at Fox and Weeks Funeral Directors Hodgson Chapel. Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday October 4, 2006 at Windsor Forest Baptist Church. A private burial service will be in Hillcrest Abbey Memorial Park West on Dean Forest Road.
