Denmark, Ga. - Mrs. Edith Denmark Smith, age 94, died Saturday evening, April 9, 2011, at East Georgia Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Smith was a native of Denmark and lived all of her life in this area. She was an excellent cook, loved gardening and corresponding with family and friends through cards and letters. Mrs. Smith attended Lower Ash Branch Primitive Baptist Church. She was predeceased by her parents, Erastus Allen "Rad" Denmark and Eva Katherine Purvis Denmark.
Survivors: three sons and daughters-in-law, Thomas Richard and Nadine Smith of Bay Branch, Robert A. and Cherry Smith of Bay Branch and Lynwood and Shirley Smith of Bay Branch District; one daughter and son-in-law, Linda Ann Smith Miller and Winkie Miller of Ellabell; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Flanders Morrison Funeral Home with the Rev. Dan Bryant officiating. Burial will follow in Red Hill Cemetery.
