Survivors include his wife, Onie Blackwood; sons, Richard D Blackwood Jr; daughter, Reta Mantooth; sisters, Eilene Wiley, Clarabelle Beasley, Sybil Keenam, Ally Mae Benson; brothers, Robert Blackwood, Charles McSpadden, Earl McSpadden. He was owner of Del Rancho No 10, 9th & Virginia. Had been a resident of OKC for 35 years. He served in World War II. Visitation will be at Bill Merritt Funeral Home at time of funeral.
