Passed away at his home in this city Monday
George Ream died in his home, 720 E. Franklin street this morning at 7:00 of asthma and heart trouble. Mr. Ream had been sick but a few hours, his death being very sudden. Mr. Ream was born in Hancock county (sic-actually in Stark Co., Oh.) Sept. 20, 1845. He is survived by his wife and ten children, three children being deceased. One son who is well known here, Jesse Ream, he being connected with the Manhattan hotel. There will be a short service at the house Thursday at 12 o'clock, from there the remains will be taken to Bluffton, O. where a funeral service will be held at the Church of Christ. Interment will be made there.

George Ream Jr., or II, was born Sept. 20, 1845 d. Mar 20, 1911. Married Angie or Angine Hodge, born Feb. 4, 1847 d. April 17, 1916. Both are buried at Maple Grove Cemetery, Bluffton, Oh.
George was a Civil War soldier -- G.A.R. To this union was born 13 children-one died in infancy, one at 17 years, the remainder married and reared families....
