OBITUARY of Mrs. J. D. STOKESBERRY

Rebecca Ream, the tenth child of eleven born to George and Fanny (Dice) Ream was born at the old family home a mile north of New Stark, Ohio, on September 8, 1851, and died at her home northwest of Ada on October 14, 1907; after a brief illness due to an injurie received by accidentaly striking her head in a cellar and producing hemorage of the brain. Her age was 56 years, 1 month and 6 days.

She was united in marriage to John D. Stokesberry on Sept. 4, 1870 and together they have traveled life's journey with its sorrows and joys. To them were given seven children, four sons and three daughters. Three sons and a daughter have preceded the mother--one son being the innocent victim of a man crazed by drink in this city some years ago.

In her youth she united with the United Brethren church and after moving to the vicinity of her late home transferred her membership to the Ames Chapel M. E. church, and later to Ada where the family lived for several years, showing that she kept in touch with her church duties wherever she went.

As a faithful wife and loving mother she will ever be enshrined in the hearts of her family.

Her funeral occurred from the M. E. church of Ada, her pastor performing the last sad offices in the presence of a goodly gathering of friends and neighbors, followed by interment in the Hassan cemetery.

CARD OF THANKS
J. D. Stokesberry and children wish to express their thanks to the friends and neighbors for the kindness shown them in the sad bereavement during the affliction and death of their wife and mother also to the Ladies and Sir Knights of the Maccabees and others for floral designs.
