JACOB G. APPLEGATE

VANCEBURG, June 7-Jacob Granford Applegate, 77 farmer, died at 3 p.m. Friday of a heart ailmaen at his home in Carrs, Ky.
He is survived by his wife, Frances; five sons, Byron of Sandy Springs, Elmo, Edgar and Ralph of Carrs and Aubrey of Concord, and two daughters, Mrs. Ida McClurg of Carrs and Mrs. Lena Stafford of Chillicothe.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday by Rev. Ira W. Stout at Valley Presbyterian church at Charters. Burial will follow in Valley cemetery under the direction of K. Stanley Kimble.
