APPLEGATE
Byron P. Applegate, 92, of Stout, died Wednesday at Scioto Memorial Convalescent Center.
A retired grocer at Sandy Springs, he was a World War I Army veteran.
Surviving are his wife, Mabel Applegate; a son, Ray Applegate of Stout; two daughters, Louella Swim of Palm Harbor, Fla., and Jo Ann Shiveley of Peebles; a brother, Elmo Applegate of Black Oak, Ky.; a sister, Lena Stafford of Chillicothe; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Service is 2 pm.m Saturday at Lafferty Funeral Home in West Union, with the Rev. Emmett Shiveley officiating, and interment in Manchester Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday.
