Services for Helen "Jody" Pierce, 69, of Lubbock will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Bacon Heights Baptist Church with the Rev. Charles B. Murray officiating.

Burial will be in the City of Lubbock Cemetery under the direction of Sanders Funeral Home.

She died Monday, Jan. 3, 2000, in Covenant Medical Center.

She was born April 4, 1930 in Afton. She moved to Lubbock in 1947. She married Ray Pierce. Her occupations include office manager at Ray's TV and Appliances, manager of Orlando's Restaurant and a dispatcher for Halliburton Oil Service, retiring in 1993. She was preceded in death by a son, Johnny Joe Pierce on July 21, 1974; and a sister, Darlene Burton on March 6, 1999.

Survivors include a son, Wayne of Lubbock; a daughter, Penny of Lubbock; two brothers, Jack Andrews of Lubbock and Dan Andrews of Desert Hot Springs, Calif.; a sister, Betty Treiber of Charlotte, N.C.; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
