CUMBERLAND -- Services for Darlene Burton, 59, will be at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at Cumberland Baptist Church with James Wigington and Les Sullivan officiating. Interment will follow at Cumberland Cemetery under the direction of Watts Funeral Home.

Mrs. Burton died March 6, 1999, at her Little City residence. She was born Jan. 15, 1940, at Brownfield, Texas, to John and Juanita Benham Andrews.

Reared in Brownfield, she married Buford Burton on March 17, 1958, in Ardmore and lived in Oklahoma City before moving to the Madill area in 1975. She graduated from Loco High School and Murray State College and was a tax preparer and bookkeeper. She was a former member of the Marshall County Ambulance Board.

Survivors include her husband, of the home; two sons, Gary, Sheman, Texas, and Terry, Denison, Texas; two daughters, Gaye Fuller, Springfield, Mo., and Dana Hardin, Irving, Texas; stepmother, Ida Jones, Waco, Texas; two brothers, Jack Andrews, Denver City, Texas, and Dan Andrews, Desert Springs, Calif.; two sisters, Jody Pierce, Lubbock, Texas, and Betty Treiber, Charlotte, N.C.; 11 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a grandson.

Bearers will be Eddie Burton, Joe D., Jerry D. and Jackie D. Southerland, Monty and Mark Keenan. Honorary bearers are Don Burton, Mark Lewis, Tommy Thompson and Eddie Jones.
