Mr. Earl Renner Anders Sr., 58, of 12019 Keymar Road, Keymar, died Tuesday, Nov. 7, at College View Nursing Home, Frederick, following an illness of four months.
He was the husband of Patsy Carlene Hatfield Anders, who died in 1999. Born Oct. 7, 1942, in Frederick County, he was a son of the late William and Lily Renner Anders.
Mr. Anders was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. At the time of his death, he had been working as a construction and maintenance supervisor with Tevis Oil, Westminster, for the past 16 years. Mr. Anders was a member of the Terra Rubra Lions Club.
Surviving are two sons, Earl R. Anders Jr. and wife Leigh Ann of Emmitsburg, and James C. Anders of Keymar; two brothers, Charles Anders of New Oxford, Pa., and Mike Anders of Frederick; and two sisters, Orfa Anders of Frederick, and Jenny Anders of Florida. Mr. Anders was preceded in death by one brother, William Anders.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 8, and Thursday, Nov. 9, at the Hartzler Funeral Home, 404 S. Main St., Woodsboro. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 10, at the funeral home with the Rev. Mary Kay Totty-Kublawi, pastor of St. Paul's United Methodist Church, New Windsor, officiating. Interment will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Frederick. Memorial donations may be made to Terra Rubra Lions, c/o Terry Grabill, 11726 Keymar Road, Keymar, Md. 21757.
