Mr. William A. Anders
Mr. William A. "Mr. Bill" Anders, 76, of 10318 Hansonville Road, Frederick, died Friday, April 1, at his residence. He was the husband of Ruth Naomi (Kline) Anders.
Born Sept. 11, 1906, in Woodsboro, Mr. Anders was a son of the late Harry Thornton and Orpha Shank Anders.
Mr. Anders was an active member of the St. John's United Church of Christ, Woodsboro, and prior to his retirement, was employed with Kelly's Mill, Ceresville, as a flour miller.
Besides his wife, Mr. Anders is survived by four sons, William L. Anders and Michael W. Anders, both of Frederick; Earl R. Anders and Charles H. Anders, both of Keymar; two daughters, Orpha I. Rice, Frederick, and Jennifer M. Anders, at home; one sister, Mrs. Alice Stitley, Johnsville, and eight grandchildren.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday, April 2, and noon to 9 p.m. Sunday, April 3, at Stauffer Funeral Home, 40 Fulton Ave., Walkersville. On Monday, April 4 Mr. Anders will be taken to St. John's United Church of Christ, Woodsboro, where he will lie in state from 1 p.m. until time of services at 2. His pastor, the Rev. Dr. Paul F. Mehl, will officiate. Interment will be in the Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Frederick.
