Al had retired from Swift Packing Company. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Belleville, Ill., the Catholic War Veterans, the Disabled American Veterans, the National Horseshoe Pitcher's Association, and a life member of VFW Belleville Post 1739. Mr. Heidenfelder was an avid bowler who was a member of the American Bowling Congress. Aloysius enlisted in the Army May 4, 1943 and was a World War II and Korean War U.S. veteran.
