David, purchased land from his father, Jacob Brown, in 1796. David and his family lived in Telford, Tennessee and remained there until 1822, when he sold his farm to a nephew, Stephen Brown, and moved to Little Chuckey Creek in Greene County, Tennessee. When he died his property was divided between his eight children.
