Ronald Lynn Mayberry, 48, passed away on Sunday, Jan. 8, 2012, in Cookeville Regional Medical Center.

He had chosen cremation.

He was born Jan. 12, 1963, in Putnam County to Estella Hughes Lewis of Cookeville and the late Sheldon Mayberry.

Mr. Mayberry was of the Baptist faith. He was retired 22 years from the Tennessee National Guard. He was an avid outdoorsman and had many friends and motorcycle buddies.

In addition to his mother, his family includes his stepmother, Louise Mayberry of Baxter; a son and daughter-in-law, Adam and Megan Mayberry of Spring Hill; a grandson, AJ Mayberry of Spring Hill; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Betty Ann and Harold Chambers of Cookeville and Lisa Purdy of Knoxville; two brothers and a sister-in-law, twin brother Donnie and Cindy Mayberry of Livingston and Terry Mayberry and friend Sharon Johnson of Cookeville; a niece and her husband, Whitney Mayberry and Dustin Rich of Elizabethton; a nephew, Morgan Mayberry of Livingston; two nieces, Sierra and Chelsea Purdy, both of Knoxville; and a nephew, Noah Purdy of Knoxville.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his stepfather, James Lewis.

His memorial headstone is between his maternal grandparents Don Hughes (51157458) and Allie Garland Hughes (51157520) in the Tipton Griffith Cemetery in Relief, Mitchell Co, NC.
