Shawnee resident Lillie Mae (Childers) Ledford, 77, passed away Monday, January 9, 2012 at her residence.

Services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 13, 2012 at Walker Funeral Service Chapel with Tom Harrison officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery. The family will be at the funeral home on Thursday from 6 to 8 pm to greet friends. Lillie Mae (Childers) Ledford was born October 12, 1934 in Shawnee, Oklahoma the daughter of William "Bill" Childers, Sr. and Tabatha (Geyer) Childers. She graduated from Bethel High School and Draughns Business College. On May 29, 1954 she married Dale Ledford. She had worked at Sylvania Electric in purchasing, Southwest Title & Trust, Tinker Field, the Social Security Office, and Dr. Francis Davis' office. Lillie enjoyed camping and vacationing with her family and especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by her parents, 4 brothers: Lavern, Paris, Jimmie and William Childers, a sister: Mary (Childers) Geyer, and a grandson: Paul Connor Beal Survived by: Husband: Dale Ledford of the home 4 Children: Clayton Ledford and wife Clara of Idabel, Gary Ledford and wife Claudia of Bethel Cindy Carpenter and husband Keith of Bethel Jeremy Ledford and wife Amanda of Shawnee Grandchildren: Marc Stagner Angelique Ledford-Parsons and husband Chris Stephanie Ledford Michael Beal and wife Neisha Mary Ann Beal Joshua Ledford Jared Ledford and wife Heather Derrick Carpenter and wife Jessica Brandon Carpenter and wife Alicia Jaxon Ledford Great-Grandchildren: Tavin, Corban, Damon and Cole Stagner C.J. and Daniel Vigil Niobe Rain Collins, Tate Kettle, Amanda Beal Dominique, Rachelle, and Robert Stockton Cady Beal, Carla Beal, Madelyn and Alexis Ledford MaKinlee and Gage Carpenter, and Gracie Bella Carpenter Sisters: Julia Richards Ruby Ott Reva Fallin Deloris Birkicht and husband George And numerous nieces, nephews, other family and friends
