TOM MERIWETHER DEAD

The hundreds of friends of Mr. Tom Meriwether will regret to learn of his death that occurred Tuesday at Bolivar, Tenn., after an illness of more than two years. Mr. Meriwether is survived by his wife Mrs. Gertrude Meriwether and one son.

Mr. Meriwether was born in Senatobia. He was a brother of Mrs. J. T. Gabbert of this place, and Mr. J. O. Meriwether of this place.

For many years a conductor on the I. C. passenger trains he numbered his friends by the thousands and until bad health forced his retirement was considered one of the most efficient real-road (sic) men in this section. (Senatobia Democrat.)
