Charles Boyd Hawk, 85, Mainville, died at his home last night at 9 o'clock. Death was dur to complications.
He was a member of the Mainville Reformed Church and served on the church council for fifty years. He was a member of the IOOF, Bloomsburg.
He was born in Main Township, son of the late Alfred and Kathryn Steely Hawk. He had been employed by the Reading Railroad for forty-eight years and retired a number of years ago.
He is survived by his wife, the former Mary E. Nuss; two daughters, Mrs. Myrtle Horrox, West Milton; Mrs. Lawrence Miller, Catawissa RD1; a daughter, Mrs. Edna Fisher died ten years ago. There are four grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at two o'clock at the Billing Funeral Home, Numidia, with Rev. Carl Leinbach, Reformed Chruches of Catawissa and Mainville officiating. Burial will be in the Reformed Cemetery, Mainville.
