SALTILLO Helen J. Pounders, 71, died Monday, Nov. 9, 1998, at the North Mississippi Medical Center. She was a retired nurses aide and a member of Pleasant Valley United Methodist Church.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Waters Funeral Home in Baldwyn with Bro. William Speck and Bro. Dale Whitlock officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Valley Cemetery.

Survivors include one daughter, Barbara Davidson, and her husband, Tom, of Winthrop, Ill.; one son, Don Pounders, and his wife, Jan, of Saltillo; three sisters, Wilma Burns of Chicago, Mary Langenfeld of San Diego, Calif., and Shirley Booth and her husband, Charles, of St. Louis, Mo.; two brothers, Phillip Beacham Jr. of Libertyville, Ill., and Paul Beacham of Zion, Ill.; four grandchildren, Daniel Pounders, Donna Kitchens, Jennifer Davidson and Tracey Kautzer; five great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Jimmy Cole, Shelby Smith and her nephews.

Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
