Rosary and Funeral Mass for Maria T. Addis 96, of San Fidel, New Mexico will be held on Friday-January 6, 2012-9:30 AM at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Grants, Memorial Park. The Very Rev. Alberto Avilla will officiate.

Maria Teresa Aguilar Addis passed away quietly on January 3, 2012 in Grants, New Mexico surrounded by her family. She was born in Michoacán, Mexico on August 23, 1915, the youngest of six children who relocated to the United States during the Mexican Revolution. She was raised in the lovely Ventura area of California and worked as a young girl in the lemon packing houses of that area.

During the beginning of World War II, Maria met and married her husband Richard Addis in September of 1943 who preceded her in death in the year 2000. Richard and Maria raised two daughters in Northern California and after retirement, relocated to Melbourne, Florida. Ten years ago the couple moved to San Fidel, New Mexico to live with daughter Lucinda Trujillo.

Maria is survived by her two daughters, Norma Jean Klinger and husband Kenneth of Goodyear, Arizona and Lucinda Trujillo and husband Antonio of San Fidel, New Mexico, where Maria, in her final years enjoyed participating in the many activities of Guadalupe Vineyards.

She is also survived by her sister, Guadalupe Maria Contreras, 97 of Montalvo, California and many beloved nieces and nephews. Maria was proud of her two granddaughters, Donna Hays of Palm Bay, Florida and Christina Brooks of Phoenix, Arizona.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband: Richard Addis; Parents: Christine Agiler and Josephina Augilar; Sister: Christine Gisler; Brothers: Rudolph Augilar, Rocchio Augilar and Antonio Augilar.
