Mrs. Helen Ann Deal Scott, 52, died Saturday at her residence near Statesboro after an extended illness. The Bulloch County native had lived near Statesboro most of her life and was a member of the New Hope Methodist Church.
Mrs. Scott is survived by her husband, Carl Scott, Statesboro; two sons, Randy Scott, Brooklet and Ronnie Scott, Palatka, Fla.; her mother, Mrs. Horace G. Deal, Statesboro; two sisters, Mrs. Carene D. Mallard and Mrs. Betty Stringer, both of Statesboro; three brothers, Charles Deal, San Antonio, Tex., Edgar Deal, Statesboro and Hugh Deal, Raleigh, N.C.; and five grandchildren.
The funeral service will be held today at 4 p.m. at the chapel of Smith-Tillman Mortuary with the Elder Tommy Bryant and the Rev. Don Vogle conducting the service. Burial will be in the Bethlehem Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. Smith-Tillman Mortuary in charge of arrangements.
