Services for Frederick A. Hahn, 78, will be held at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, at St. Peter Lutheran Church, 111 W. Olive St., Arlington Heights. The Rev. Kevin Borchers will officiate.
Born Oct. 13, 1921, in Iuka, Ill., he was called to his heavenly home on Sunday, May 21, 2000, from St. Alexius Medical Center in Hoffman Estates. Interment will be in Clarendon Hills Cemetery, Darien.
Prior to his retirement, Fred was a sergeant with the Palatine Police Department from 1954 to 1973. He was a World War II Navy veteran.
He was the loving husband of the late Shirley (nee Reinberger); devoted father of Kathy Hahn of Naperville, Juanita (Raymond) Baldassarra of Rolling Meadows and Kenny J. (Margaret) Hahn of Rockford, Ill.; doting grandfather of Jonathan and Jarrod Baldassarra, Erin (Donald) Foster of Davis, Ill., and Sean Hahn and Shannon (Justin) McGraw of Rockford; proud great-grandfather of Taylor Foster, Christian and Rian McGraw; special friend of Dorothy Noffke of Elgin; son of Minnie and Herrman Hahn; dear brother of Pauline Fritzler of Waukesha, Wis., John (Eleanor) Hahn of Johnson Creek, Wis. and the late Dorothy Hammersmeir, and Art, Herman, Harold and Carl; special uncle of Rick (Chris) Reinberger of Palatine; and uncle of many other nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. today, at Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road, 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights, and from noon until the time of the services Wednesday, at the church.
