The obituary for John E. Hahn, 81, Johnson Creek which was published on Thursday, incorrectly stated the location of his birth. John was born Aug. 8, 1924, in Luka, Ill.

JOHNSON CREEK - John E. Hahan, 81, of Johnson ?Creek, died on Wednesday, at Fort Memorial Hospital in Fort Atkinson.

Funeral services will be held at noon Saturday at St. John's Lutheran Church in Johnson Creek with the Rev. Keith Johnson officiating. Burial with graveside military rites will be in Glenview memorial Gardens, Ixonia.

Friends and relatives may call to pay their respects at the church on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the handicapped fund of St. John's Lutheran Church, 129 N. Watertown St., Johnson Creek 53038.

John was born Aug. 8, 1924 in Luka, Ill., son of Herman and Wilhelmina (Behrendt) Hahn. He married the former Eleanor Hauser on Nov. 23, 1950, at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Hartland.

John attended Concordia Lutheran School in Riverforest, Ill. He served in the United States Navy for four years during World War II and was in the reserves for a number of years. He had been an electrician for more than 50 years and was engaged in farming most of his life.

John was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Johnson Creek. He was also a member of the National Association of Atomic Veterans, Watertown Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 3709, and American Legion Post No. 305 of Johnson Creek. He had also been a Mason member of Lodge No. 9 and a 4-H leader.

He enjoyed his grandchildren, his farm and meeting his friends at Equity.

Surviving are his wife, Eleanor Hahn of Johnson Creek; two daughters, Pamela (Robert) Hill of Johnson Creek and Charlene (Keith) Berg of Watertown; a son, John "Jack" Hahan Jr. of Johnson Creek; six grandchildren, Angela (Rob) Vierkant, Rachel (Donald) Smith, Julie Hill, Marjorie Berg, Emaleigh Berg and Keith Berg; two great-grandchildren, Christopher and Elizabeth Vierkant; caring nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was the last member of his immediate family. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Dorothy Hamersmier and Pauline Fritzler; five brothers, Herman Hahn, Harold Hahn, Arthur Hahn, Carl Hahn and Frederick Hahn.
