Sister LaSalle Nannemann, OSF, 94, of Clare House, Dubuque, died at 8:08 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 31, 2011, at Clare House.

A Mass of Christian burial will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 4, in Francis Chapel. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 3, in the chapel, where there will be a wake service at 7 p.m. Egelhof, Siegert and Casper Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Sister ministered in the Iowa cities of Sioux City (Briar Cliff College), Ossian, New Hampton, Earlville, Dubuque (Xavier Hospital) and Clinton. She also ministered in Emporia, Kan., and Cortez, Colo.

She entered the Sisters of St. Francis on Aug. 24, 1937, and made her final profession of vows on Aug. 12, 1943.

She was born on Feb. 24, 1929, in Wien, Mo., daughter of Fred and Bernardine (Krumpelmann) Nannemann.

Surviving are her brother, Alvin; her sister-in-law, Mildred; nieces and nephews; and her Franciscan sisters with whom she shared 73 years of her life.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Tony, Joe (Marie), Leo (Margaret), Carl (Mildred) and Aloysius; her sisters, Clara (Robert) Norris, Laurine (Roy) Davis, Julia and Theresa; and her sister-in-law, Maxine.
