Alvin T. Nannemann, age 86 of Kansas City, MO., and a former Wien resident, died Saturday November 21, 2015 at his home in Kansas City. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday, Nov. 25, 2015 at the Saint Mary of the Angels Catholic Church in Wien, with Father Mike Murphy officiating, burial with Military honors will be in the Saint Mary's Cemetery at Wien. Visitation will be from 5 to 7:00 PM Tuesday, Nov. 24th at the Church in Wien, with the Wake service and Rosary at 5:00 PM Tuesday at the Church. The family suggests memorials to the Saint Jude Children's Hospital, or to the Saint Mary of the Angels Restoration Fund in Wien, and these may be sent to the funeral home. Alvin Thomas Nannemann was born may 24, 1929 at Wien, the son of Frederick and Bernadine Krumpelmann Nannemann. On February 14, 1956 he married Maxine Helen Libby, at Albuquerque, New Mexico and she preceded him in death in 2009. Alvin was a member of the Saint Gabriel Catholic Church in Kansas City, and had worked as a Truck mechanic for Consolidated Freightway in Kansas City. Alvin was a Veteran of the United States Army, serving during the Korean War, and was a member of the VFW in Kansas City. Survivors include many nieces and nephews, and great and great great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Maxine, 5 brothers and 5 sisters.
