PEVEY, IRENE GAUTREAU
A resident and native of Gonzales, she died at 9 a.m. Friday, April 19, 1996, at Golden Age Nursing Home, Denham Springs. She was 96. Visiting was held at Rabenhorst Funeral Home, 825 Government St., 3 to 8 p.m. Sunday, with a rosary at 6:30 p.m. Visiting at the funeral home 8 to 9:30 a.m. Monday. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Gerard Majella Catholic Church at 10 a.m. Monday, celebrated by the Rev. Tim Kerner. Interment in Greenoaks Memorial Park. Survived by two sisters, Agnes G. Ficklin, Salt Lake City, and Cecile G. David, Baton Rouge; a niece, Betty Brister, Gonzales, a nephew, J. Kenny Gautreaux, Zwolle; numerous other nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Preceded in death by husband, Carl A. Pevey; parents, Joachim and Regina Kling Gautreau; five brothers, Joseph. L.P., J.P., U.P., and J.U. Gautreau; and two sisters, Amy G. Gautreaux and Mirza G. Zimmerle. She was a member of St. Gerard Majella Catholic Church and Altar Society, Catholic Daughters of the Americas and a former member of St. Mark's Catholic Church, Gonzales.
