Mary Magdalena Firor was born November 22, 1785, in Thurmont, Frederick County, Maryland, eldest child of John Leonard and Dorothy Paus Firor. She was also the granddaughter of John Henry and Magdalena Matthews Firor and Christopher and Magdalena Frey Paus. On November 25, 1806, in Frederick County, she married Christian Harbaugh, son of Christian and Maria Elizabeth Williar Harbaugh. They were the parents of ten children: Maria Matilda, Jethro, John William, Catharina Theresa, Rebecca Elizabeth, Lavinia Augusta, Maria Magdalena, Sophia Charlotte, Jeremiah Daniel and Levi Christian Harbaugh. Maria Magdalena passed away November 5, 1858, in Thurmont, and was buried on the 7th in Graceham Moravian Church Cemetery, Graceham, Frederick County, Maryland.
