Dorothea Elisabetha Paus was born April 22, 1757, in Falckner Swamp, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Christopher Paus and Magdalena Frey. She married John Leonard Firor in Frederick County, Maryland, circa 1784. He was the son of John Henry and Anna Magdalena Matthews Firor. They were the parents of 7 children: Maria Magdalena, Daniel, Maria Barbara, Sophia, John, Catharina and Henry Benjamin Firor. Elizabeth Paus Firor was my 4g-grandmother.
