Meretta D. Riech, 72, of Springfield, passed away at her home on Thursday, December 29, 2011. She was born on December 14, 1939 in Acton, KY, the daughter of Thomas and Joann (Spurling) Bottom. She married Frank Riech on January 18, 1956 in Mannsville, KY.
Meretta is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Frank Riech, her son, Richard W. Riech, daughter Charlett D. Ryan, 3 grandsons, 1 granddaughter, 1 great-grandson, 1 great-granddaughter, all of Springfield, her sisters; Brenda Risinger and Judy Reece both of Louisville, KY. She is preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers, and 2 sisters.
Burial will follow at Camp Butler National Cemetery.
