Kermit Bottom, 75, of Campbellsville died at 10 a.m. on Sunday, Jan. 27, 2008, in Elizabethtown, Ky.
Son of the late Tom Bottom and Joann Spurling Bottom Ambers, he was born on Sept. 4, 1932, in Taylor County. He was a retired cook and mechanic.
He was married to Juanita Bowlin in 1961. She preceded him in death on March 5, 2003.
Survivors include three sons and three daughters, Billy Bottom, Randall Bottom, Wanda Watson and Pam Colvin, all of Campbellsville, and Tommy Bottom and Simone Brown, both of Louisville, Ky.; a stepson, Richard Salsbury of Somerset, Ky.; 17 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Maretta Riech of Illinois and Brenda Risinger and Judy Reese, both of Louisville; and a half-sister, Lillie Graves of Indiana.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a son, Bruce Bottom; a brother and two sisters, Sambo Bottom, Shirley Bottom and Marcella Risinger; and two half-sisters, Anner Tedder and Maudie Wright.
Cremation was chosen.
Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home in Campbellsville was in charge of arrangements.
