James R. "Jim" Dixson, age 72, Logansport, passed away at 10:00 a.m., Sunday, December 25, 2011, in his residence.

Born March 15, 1939, in Logansport, he was the son of Charles and Irene Cahl Dixson.

A 1957 graduate of Logansport High School, Jim was retired from White Rogers manufacturing. Jim was a life-long member of River of Life Christian Church, where served as a Deacon, on the General Board and on the Board of Trustees. He was also active in weekly Bible study. In earlier years Jim was active in Rural Youth and enjoyed bowling on the White-Rogers team.

Surviving are a sister, Mary Strasser, Logansport; special friend, Dorinda Hylton, Logansport; nieces and nephews, Barbara Stigers, Rebecca Strasser, Rick Rouser, Deb Moore, Terry Dixson, Karen Butcher and Heidi Dixson. Two sisters-in-law also survive, Deloris Dixson and Louise Dixson.

Preceding in death were a sister Joan Rouser, and three brothers, Eugene Dixson, Robert Dixson and Cecil Dixson.

Visitation will be from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m., Thursday, December 29, 2011, at Kroeger Funeral Home, with the service following at 11:00 a.m.

Rev. W. Frank Hibbard will officiate.

Interment will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.
