Mary A. Strasser, 86 of Logansport, passed away peacefully in her sleep at home Thursday morning, April 4, 2013.

Born March 15, 1927 in Logansport, she was the daughter of the late Charley and Irene Cahl Dixson. On December 29, 1950, she was married to Frank Strasser who preceded her in death on April 21, 1997.

A member of River of Life Christian Church, Mary was also active in the Order of Eastern Star Royal Center Chapter. She had been a member of the former Rebekah's Lodge #127, White Shrine #4 and Amaranth Lodge 4. She was a devoted Cubs fan who enjoyed reading and dining out with her daughters.

On May 26, 1989, after 27 1/2 years of employment, she retired from R.B.M. where she had worked as an inspector.

Surviving are two daughters and one son-in-law, Rebecca Strasser and Barbara Stigers and her husband Ron, all of Logansport; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death one sister, Joan Rouser and four brothers, Eugene Dixson, Cecil Dixson, Robert Dixson and James Dixson.


Funeral Information

A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 6, 2013, in Fisher Funeral Chapel with Revs. Frank Hibbard and Keith Kincaid officiating.

Interment will follow in the Davis Cemetery, near Burnettsville.

Friends may call from 3-8 p.m. Friday, April 5, 2013, in the funeral chapel where an Eastern Star service will be conducted at 7:30 p.m.
