Mother Eunice Battle Griffin Burt, was born to the proud parents of Della and Alpha Battle, in Neshoba County, MS; on January 19, 1909. She was the third of four children, born to this union.
She was preceded in death by both parents, her sisters, Lillian, Pencie, and one brother, Sammy.
Later her mother, Alpha was married to Emmett Cleveland. To this union, five children were born: Bernice, John Ed, Jeraldine, Clatie Mae, and Lacy all preceded her in death.
Later she was united in marriage to Rev. John Wesley Griffin in August 1931. She ended her earthly course on October 22, 2007.
Mother leaves to cherish her memories seven loving and caring children; James Wesley and Helen Cross, both of Milwaukee, WI; Lillie and Linda Griffin of Washington, D. C; Mervin Griffin, Chicago, IL; Carthenia Green, Denver, CO; and Wardean Griffin of Carthage, MS.
She also was preceded in death by three sons, David, Saul, and Bingham.
She also leaves a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren whom she adored. She is also survived by loving nieces, nephews, wonderful daughters-in-law, devoted sons-in-law, beautiful, caring members, friends, and neighbors.
Burial in Delydia Hill M. B. Church Cemetery.
