Lillian spelled(Lilliand) on her stone died at age 6 at Lumberton Hospital. She is buried beside grandma Susie and her sister Rose. Lillian was living with Nannie, my step grandma when she died of colitis they say from eating green apples. Told to me by Uncle Dusenbury's daughter Lonnie Marlow Elliott. Aunt Caroline told me: Granddad was in Lumberton prison serving time for bigamy, due to marrying Nannie with out a divorce, from Edna Grace, mom of Caroline and Nellie Marlow. She went to social services for help with the girls after granddad walked out on them. They found him in Richmond Virginia and brought back to NC and had him put in prison. He was not let out for Lillian's funeral, but did buy her a stone when he did get out. I left the old stone on top of the grave when my niece Staacy Lynn of Texas and I together bought Lillian the new stone. My granddad Albert Bland Marlow was married 4 times, 3 legal. He had 17 children counting Franklin Ray who was not legally his son. Wives were :1. Lottie Brayboy, 2 girls Loretta and Pear and Franklin Ray Barber; 2. Rosa Ethel Marlow Prince 1 son Albert Bland Marlow, Jr., 6 girls Rosa Ethel, Lillian, Susie and twin, Rosina and Thelma Lee Marlow. I did not have the delayed birth certificate at that time on Aunt Thelma which makes 18 children; 3. Edna Grace Harper 2 girls Caroline and Nellie Marlow; and Rosa Mae Washington (never remarried to make legal) 3 boys Joseph, Bland, and Bobby Joe, and 3 girls Catherine, Betty and Peggy. gerrilynn
