Peggy Marlowe Williams, 58, passed away February 25, 2001. She is survived by her devoted husband of forty years, Garnet Taylor Williams, Jr; a son, Daniel Ray Williams, and a daughter, Vicki Williams Funai; mother, Rose M. Mitchell; six brothers and sisters, Joseph C. Marlowe of New Jersey, Lowell Bland Marlowe of Sandston, Catherine Marie Turner, of Chesapeake, Betty Ann Palmore of Highland Springs, and Susie Mitchell Hudson of Chester; devoted grandsons; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives who dearly loved her. She was predeceased by a brother, Bobby Joe Marlowe, of Richmond. She was the center of her family and loved by all who knew her. Remains rest at Bennett's Funeral Home, Lee Davis Road, Mechanicsville. The family will receive friends on Monday and Tuesday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Bennett's Funeral Home, where services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, March 1. Memorial donations may be made in lieu of flowers to the American Cancer Society
Peggy was predeceased in death by two brothers, Bobby Joe Marlowe, Albert Bland Marlow, Jr, and a sister Rosa Ethel Marlow Lynn.
Peggy was the daughter of Albert Bland Marlow, Sr. and Rosa Mae Washington Marlow Mitchell. Siblings not mentioned in obituary are: Loretta M. Long, Pearl M. Watts, Susie Marlow and unnamed Twin, Rosina Marlow, Noma Lilliand Marlow, Caroline Marlow Smith, Nell Marlow Wall, Franklin Ray Marlowe(all predeceased her in death.)LIving: Betty Ann M. Palmore, Susie Mitchell Hudson and Catherine M. Turner.
