" Mrs. Balbina Schoenen, 77, of Jefferson City, died Tuesday (17 September 1974) at Charles E. Still Hospital in Jefferson City after a lingering illness. Mrs. Schoenen was born September 11, 1897, at Taos, the daughter of John C. and Elizabeth Wekenborg Rackers. On September 27, 1922, she was married at Jefferson City to Clarence A. Schoenen, who died April 19, 1955.
Survivors include: four sons: Frank J. Schoenen, Kansas City; C. A. Schoenen, Jr. and William J. Schoenen, both of Morganstown, North Carolina, and Dr. Robert Schoenen, Jefferson City.
Four daughters; Mrs. Rosemary Buersmeyer, Westphalia; Mrs. Helen Taft, Mexico; Mrs. Doris Forck, Kansas City; and Mrs. Ruth Parse, Leawood, Kansas. Four brothers, Ed Rackers, Lee Rackers, Paul Rackers, and Vincent Rackers, Phoenix, Arizona; one sister, Mrs. Josephine PLeus, Taos; 21 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were Wednesday at the Immaculate Conception Catholic church in Jefferson City with the Rev. James Wieberg officiating. Burial was in Resurrection Cemetery."
