Born and reared at Taos, the retired farmer had been a resident of Jefferson
City for the past 18 years. His wife, the farmer Miss Elizabeth Wekenborg, died
here in 1936.
Mr. Rackers had been ill for the past year and was taken to the hospital last
Tuesday. He was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church and of The Holy
name Society.
Survivors include four sons, Edward, Leo, and Paul of Jefferson City, and
Vincent of Phoenix, Ariz., three daughters, Mrs. Clarence Schoenen of Folk and
Mrs. Martin Twehouse and Mrs. Joe Pleus of Taos; four sisters, Mrs. Louis Laux
of Miami, Fla., Mrs. Henry Eiken of Taos, Mrs. Andrew Haaf and Mrs. Antone
