Orville Dayton "Tony" Johnson, 64, of 833 Second St, Marietta, died at 12:35 am Sunday, Dec 13, 1992 in Good Samaritan Hospital, Zanesville after a short illness. He was born Aug 3, 1928 in Marietta to Herman D and Myra (Farnsworth) Johnson. He attended Marietta schools and served in the Korean conflict. He attended Bible Missionary Church. He had been employed by the City of Marietta in the Cemetery Department until his retirement because of ill health.

He is survived by his wife, the former Leona Marie Casto; one brother, Dewey Johnson of Marietta; four sisters, Legatha Powers of Peoria, AZ, Alta Burge of Marietta, Mona Barnet of Phoenix, AZ, and Major Opal Johnson with the Salvation Army in Uniontown, PA; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one brother, Dean Johnson, and a sister, Roberta Noland.

Services will be 10 am Wednesday, Dec 16, 1992 in McClure-Schafer Funeral Home, Marietta with Rev Benjamine Fay officiating. Burial will follow in Harmar Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4 pm today until the hour of the service.
