Major Opal P. Johnson (Ret.), 80, of Greensburg, died Tuesday, December 3, 2014. She was born May 22, 1934 in Marietta, Ohio, a daughter of the late Herman and Myra Farnsworth Johnson. She was an Officer with Salvation Army for 45 years, retiring from the Greensburg Corps. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by three brothers: Dean, Orville, and Dewey Johnson and three sisters: Roberta Noland, Lagatha Powers, and Alta Burge. She is survived by a sister Mona Barnett and husband Daniel of Santan Valley, Ariz.; numerous nieces and nephews; and her Associate Officer, Major Lillian Martin of Greensburg, with whom she worked for 54 years.
