Retired Air Force Major General John S Mills was a 1928 graduate of West Point. Served in the Army Air Corps and Air Force for 32 years. Served in the Philiippines (1934-1937) as a bomber pilot, flight commander and bomb group navigation officer. Served as the commander of the 450th Bombardment Group in the Mediterranean and as the chief of operations for thte Mediterranean Allied Air Forces in Italy during World War II. Served in the Panama Canal Zone (1946-1948). Survived by a wife, son and daughter.
