WESLEY –Mathias Hildman, 98, of West Bend, formerly of Wesley, died Friday (Aug. 4, 1989) at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital, Mason City, of natural causes.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Wesley, with the Rev. Allen Ricks officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Wesley.
Visitation will be after 2 p.m. today at the Garry-Roberts-Murphy-Schaaf Funeral Home, Wesley, where a Catholic Daughters of the Americas rosary will be held at 3 p.m. There will be a parish rosary at 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
He was born Nov. 18, 1890, in West Brooklyn, Ill., a son of Mathias and Catherine (Halbmier) Hildman. He was educated in Wesley area rural schools.
He married Dagney Nielsen Aug. 15, 1940, in Fairmont, Minn. He was a house painter in the Wesley and Sexton areas. In 1979, he entered the Kossuth County Care center, and in 1987 he moved to the West Bend Rest Home, West Bend.
Survivors include one son, Earl Hildman, Omaha, Neb.; and one sister, Clara Eisenbarth, Franklin, Minn.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
