Mrs. Jennie Mobley Ricker, 77, formerly of Hartsville, died at 6:20 Thursday evening at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Edwin Gilliland, in Greensburg. She had been in declining health for two years and her condition became serious 10 days ago.

Mrs. Ricker was born September 4, 1867 near Charlestown, the youngest daughter in the family of nine of Milton S. and Sarah Wilson Bottorff. At an early age her parents moved to Hartsville and she was married there on April 8, 1886 to Jacob A. Mobley, who preceded her in death on December 20, 1929.

In 1932 she was married to Jacob Ricker of Spartansburg and he died in October, 1941. She was a member of the Hartsville Methodist Church.

Surviving are seven children, Mrs. Samuel Simmonds of Rugby, Mrs. Ethel M. Harmeyer of Dayton, Ohio, Mrs. Gilliland of Greensburg, Lee Roy, and Irvin E. Mobley of Indianapolis, Albert E. Mobley of Lansing, Michigan, and Chief Petty Officer Delbert R. Mobley with the Seabees in the South Pacific; 34 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Estelle Smith of Spartansburg; three step grandchildren, two brothers, James Bottorff of Xenia, Ohio, and John Bottorff of Hartsville, and a sister, Mrs. Annie White of Hartsville.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 Sunday afternoon at the Howe Funeral Home at Greensburg, conducted by the Rev. K. E. Thorne and burial will be made at the Hartsville Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 o'clock, Saturday afternoon.
