Scheske Services Set For Saturday Morning

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday from Seydler-Hill chapel for Mrs. Fred A. Scheske, Sr., who died at 8 a.m. Thursday in the Nix Memorial Hospital in San Antonio.
The Rev. Claude F. O'Neall and S. T. Winegeart will officiate at the services with burial to follow in the Masonic cemetery.
Mrs. Scheske was born in Gonzales on January 23, 1893, the daughter of Samuel Savage and Jean Christian Johnson Cobb, natives respectively of Gonzales county and Edenton, N.C.
She was married to Fred A. Scheske on June 16, 1915, and he preceded her in death October 26, 1962. The family home was at 1320 N. College. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and a charter member of the Thomas Shelton Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution.
Mrs. Scheske was a charter member of the Beau-Not Club of which she was one of the organizers. It is one of the oldest clubs in Gonzales.
She was preceded in death by three sisters, Mrs. W. T. (Kate) Pettus, Mrs. N. W. (Frances Gertrude) Hampton and Mrs. Frank (Leila) Coons.
