Mrs. James Homer [Lola] Sargent
Funeral services were held Tuesday for Mrs. James Homer Sargent, the former Lola Holland, 81, who died Saturday in Valley View Nursing Home.
Mrs. Sargent, who was born November 21, 1898 in Granbury, married James Homer Sargent, Sr., September 7, 1918 in Tarrant County. She has been a Granbury resident since 1956 and previously lived in San Antonio for 42 years. Mrs. Sargent, a retired nurse, was a member of First Methodist Church and the Eastern Star.
Survivors include two sons, James H. of Acton, Massachusetts and Jack S. Sargent of San Antonio; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and four sisters, Mrs. Lu Carter of Fort Worth, Mrs. Lila Hayworth of Big Spring, Mrs. Lizzie Howard of Hillsboro and Mrs. Lucille Ramos of San Pedro, California.
Rev. James Finley officiated at the services in Martin's Chapel. Interment was in Rose Hill Cemetery in Fort Worth with Martin's Funeral Home directing.
