Funeral services for John M. Holland, 73, were conducted Wednesday afternoon in the Granbury Church of Christ. Holland had been a resident of Granbury for the past few months following his wife's death.
Prior to moving back to Granbury, Holland had resided in Littlefield. In addition to living in Granbury before moving to Littlefield, he had resided in Farwell, Texas for 20 years.
Mr. Holland was born and raised in Hood County. He married Nelle Bly Adams in Fort Worth in 1922.
Survivors include two sons, Jack and Charles both of Lubbock; 8 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; five sisters, Mrs. Lucille Ramos of California, Mrs. Lila Hayworth of Big Spring, Mrs. Lola Sargent of Granbury, Mrs. Lula Carter of Fort Worth, Mrs. Liza Howard of Hillsboro; and one brother, Tom of California.
Lloyd Frederick, minister of the Granbury Church of Christ, officiated. Interment was in Holly Hills Memorial Park under the direction of Martin's Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Joe Collins, Preston Durant, Charlie Bennett, Keith Hillman, V.A. Andrews, and Horace McCauley.
