By an intent to marry published Nov. 3, 1780 at Conway, Mass., Sarah m. David Porter, s. of James Porter and Eunice Belding (q.v. Belden), b. July 5, 1757 at Hatfield, Mass. He d. Aug. 27, 1815 at Williamsburg, Mass. They had at least 10 known children. By 1850 at least four of the children were residents of Portage County, OH.
By June 1840 Sarah, as the widow Porter, was residing with the family of her son William at Palmyra Twp., Portage County, OH. Then in the June 1850 census was was residing with the family of her son James at Freedom Twp., Portage County. She d. shortly thereafter and is interred with part of the family of her son James in Lot 44 at Drakesburg Cem., Freedom Twp., Portage County, OH.
